Andrea Sterling: Owner/Operator 
Hello. My name is Andrea. I am the owner of Southern Comfort Pet Services, LLC and I will be the one personally caring for your pets. I have had a passion for animals my entire life. Growing up in Michigan, I was always the little girl taking in stray cats and dogs. My first love as a young girl was my Alaskan Malamute named Starr. I would spend many snowy days and nights outside playing with her as she would jump up and steal my winter cap right off my head and run and hide it in the snow with her nose. As I grew a bit older, I volunteered my weekends at the local Michigan Humane Society. The defining moment in ones life may reveal itself while working with homeless and abused animals. That's what solidified my desire to work with animals. Reaching out to those lonely eyes, just begging for a simple pat on the head. I wanted to help each and every one of them. And through the years, I have worked at many kennels and boarding facilities and most recently, for a local Veterinarian. I have also raised Yorkshire Terriers and attended Confirmation and Obedience training classes with them while living in Michigan.
I have been married for 28 years to my husband, Marcel (whom you may meet, as he will accompany me when I need extra hands) and we have raised three children. All the years with many, many pets surrounding us. I am now a proud "Nana" to three beautiful grandchildren.
I dedicated myself to raising my children as a stay-at-home mother. As they grew up and moved on to start their own families, I have searched my soul for something else to call a "career." Confucius said, "Choose a job that you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Having pondered that, I returned to school and received my certification as a Veterinary Assistant. I also received the American Red Cross Pet CPR Certification. I am currently continuing forward in my studies for a degree in Veterinary Technology.
I still have quite the little "farm" going on at home, too! We currently are owned by a Boxer named Dominic, our Cockapoo, Remington, and a Border Collie/English Springer named Abbey. Felines, J.C. and "princess" Sophie, whom we adopted from Pawmetto Lifeline. And last.. but certainly not least... our Parrots. A Congo African Grey named Weezer and a Severe Macaw, Baby Jade. When I have some spare time, I also volunteer at Pawmetto Lifeline.
I could not imagine my life any other way, but taking care of all God's creatures.. great and small.

Marcel Sterling
 Marcel and I were married in 1983. He will be helping when, and if, I need an extra pair of hands. He is a United States Army Veteran and avid golfer. He was captain of his high school golf team and played golf in college, also.
Marcel can be depended upon to uphold Southern Comfort Pet Services high standard in client service and superior care of your pets. He is very outgoing and friendly and the animals love him, too!
